TIMS DICOM Conversion
Solutions that convert Non DICOM Images to compliant DICOM

Foresight Imaging/TIMS is the world leader in the design and application of high-accuracy, high-performance video streamers and frame grabbers. More than 80,000 of our imaging boards are now in use worldwide. Foresight Imaging is known for unsurpassed image accuracy, high performance video streaming, and connectivity to any and all medical video signals. Foresight Imaging is also an innovator in PACS connectivity hardware and software for all fields of medical imaging. Our products are in use at elite medical centers, community hospitals, and clinics around the world.

The DICOM converter is used to retrofit your existing NON DICOM COMPLIANT radiology equipment (CT, MR, US) to compliant DICOM. DICOM conversion is the means of conversion of non-compliant DICOM patient and image data to a DICOM compliant format for integration into a film less environment. Thus enabling/updating legacy non-DICOM digital devices and extending their useful lives. DICOM conversion allows doctors and other medical technicians to view scan results, facilitates electronic storage of the medical images and provides the capability to enhance the image.
The DICOM converter can be used to retrofit your existing radiology equipment. This option can add tremendous functionality to portable x-ray equipment.

TIMS DICOM System - Your Digital Imaging Medical System
Problem: Hospitals and imaging clinics around the world need to convert their non-DICOM medical modalities to DICOM. Upgrading or replacing these modalities is too expensive, often costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. PACS is a large enough expense in and of itself. Replacing all of the non-DICOM devices for PACS connectivity purposes is simply not cost-effective.
Solution: TIMS DICOM System, your digital imaging medical system. TIMS converts any non-DICOM medical modality to DICOM. The resulting digital study can be sent to PACS, recorded to CD/DVD/USB, and printed to film or paper. TIMS is available for a small fraction of the cost of a modality upgrade.

TIMS can convert ANY medical modality to DICOM. This includes ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, motion X-ray, angiography, nuclear medicine, MR, CT, and much more. TIMS captures both static images and streaming video at 30 frames per second. TIMS even converts to DICOM the JPG, BMP, and AVI images generated in pathology and dermatology applications.

Digital Imaging - With or Without PACS: Most hospitals either have PACS or are thinking about implementing PACS in the next couple of years. TIMS connects any non-DICOM modality to PACS. Further, TIMS is an excellent solution for hospitals to "go digital" before PACS is implemented. With TIMS, studies can be recorded to CD/DVD/USB for soft-copy reads and storage. And when the hospital implements PACS at a later date, the modality is immediately connected to the PACS via TIMS. TIMS is the PACS connectivity solution.
TIMS DICOM Gateway Software: There is also a TIMS software-only solution. This is ideal for hospitals that need to convert their JPG, BMP, or AVI images to DICOM. The resulting DICOM studies can then be sent to PACS, burned to CD/DVD/USB, or printed. The TIMS DICOM Gateway Software can also be used as a centralized CD/DVD burning station or printing station. Or it can be used to receive DICOM studies from DICOM modalities. Its major differentiation from the TIMS DICOM System is that it cannot acquire from non-DICOM modalities. And since the TIMS DICOM Gateway Software does not require the TIMS hardware, it is extremely cost effective.
