Imaging Centers: Local, convenient, in-house outpatient patient imaging and diagnostic pathology, all in-house is the cornerstone of this segment. Often the Center will have multiple modalities, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-Ray. It is, in many respects, like a hospital, demanding the same stability, performance and image management retention. With the revenue challenges facing imaging centers today from falling insurance reimbursement rates; it is more important than ever to have imaging solutions that streamline the workflow and offer radiologists immediate access to critical information. DICOM Distribution can assess your center’s needs and develop a scalable solution that will enhance your workflow as well as fit your budget. |

DICOM Distribution is an Independent INTEGRATOR, which means that we can and will recommend different products from many different manufacturers. By representing multiple brands of products, we are better able to tailor a solution for any given project or budget. While one manufacturer mayspecialize in a specific digital x-ray system, they may not always offer the best CR solution. This is also true for PACS, (Picture Archive Communication System), RIS and other solutions. Likewise, many CR and DR manufacturers do not always offer the best PACS solution specific to the needs of your practice. DICOM Distribution can integrate these components from various manufacturers and provide our customer with a solution that is tailor made for their specific practice needs.

Revenue and Cost Challenges...
Imaging centers are facing revenue challenges with falling insurance reimbursement rates for many procedures while contending with the high cost of advanced digital modalities and advanced software solutions such as Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD).
The need to deliver superior and timely patient care in a cost-effective manner is an issue that many radiologists are faced with today and that trend is expected to continue. New image management technologies

Digital advantage...
Today selecting a...cost-effective and scalable...digital image solution is one of MANY opportunities facing leading-edge imaging centers. Compounding this decision are the new technologies...such as multi-slice CT and practice management solutions....that generate large datad sets that require federally mandated secure near & long term storage.
The archiving needs of imaging centers is beginning to approach that of small hospitals requiring several terabytes (TB) of storage per year.
