Virtually EVERY CR solution available today can be BUNDLED in a DICOM Distribution proposal. Computed  Radiography (CR) systems are the most cost effective means to digitally capture x-ray images. Computed Radiography (CR) systems are highly regarded by hospitals, clinics, image centers and private practice for their efficiency and productivity. CR solutions are designed to replace film. CR  uses an imaging plate to capture X-rays as they pass through the patient. The plates are scanned into a CR reader and digitized. Once the image/study is converted to digital data, it can be viewed at the CR control station where all images are then checked for quality and positioning. The central function of the CR control station is patient demographics, work list management, and quality control. Basic Image enhancement software is included within most CR control stations and is designed to manipulate and/or enhance  images including, but not limited to, bone and soft tissue visualization. Patient Images are then pushed to either a laser printer (printed on film) or transmitted to a PACS and stored digitally for clinical and/or diagnostic viewing and distribution.
 Practically EVERY DR solution available today can be BUNDLED in a DICOM Distribution proposal. Although the Digital Radiography (DR) system may appear more expensive initially than CR, the DR solution offers improved workflow, efficiency and higher productivity. Thus many hospitals, clinics, imaging centers and private practice consider it to be a preferred method for capturing images.
 The DICOM converter is used to modify your existing NON DICOM COMPLIANT radiology equipment (CT, MR, US) to compliant DICOM.
DICOM conversion is the means of converting non-compliant DICOM patient and image data to a DICOM compliant format for integration into a film less environment...thusenabling/updating legacy non-dicom digital devices and extending their useful lives. DICOMconversion allows doctors and other medical technicians to view scan results, facilitate electronic storage of the medical images and provide the capability to enhance the image.
